Plot
Oronzo Canà, former coach of Longobarda, has been out of the game for several years. The legendary team has just been promoted to Serie A and Canà is invited to witness the first match at a live sports telecast. Unforeseen events occur and Oronzo is launched back into command of the Longobarda. He soon discovers how much football has changed since his time but, despite everything, manages to keep his enthusiasm and promises to wreak havoc on opponents even though his players are all but world-class champions.
Review
We like Oronzo Canà for his mediocrity and, after all, can never be certain that football, even in its glorious all-Italian days, was really different from how it is today. Heroes or jerks, to quote the film, makes little difference. The important thing is the game.
