Plot

The quiet life of a petty bourgeois Roman couple – she works at the post office, he is a bus driver – is turned upside down by the obsessive romantic pursuit of Saverio, a mentally unstable and depressed young man in love with the woman. She is embarrassed; he, after overcoming his first impulses of aggressive jealousy, tries to understand this intruder in their lives and his mental issues, in a part-empathetic part-moronic swing of feelings.

Review

D’Alatri (after his directorial debut with ‘Red American’) deals with the delicate issue of mental illness, forcing the viewer to question their pre-conceived notions. Well done everyone; exceptional Kim Rossi Stuart.
