The moment Commissioner Giacomo Curreli disembarks in Cagliari from Civitavecchia, he is faced with two realities: the distrust of his new co-workers, and a murder that no one wants to solve. The death of old Mrs. Marcucci is indeed a difficult case, not so much in the manner of the crime, but for the relationship the victim had with the highly influential engineer Crescioni. It will take the tenacity of Curreli and his unconventional methods to go beyond what is seen on the surface to uncover the guilty person: even if it shakes the core of everyone concerned
