Plot
Before Elvis, Elton John and Madonna there was Liberace: piano player, flamboyant artist, showman of stage and television. Liberace loved excess, both in work and life. The first true performer to become famous throughout the world, his style captivated everyone throughout his entire 40-year career. In the summer of 1977, Liberace met the young and charming Scott Thorson and, despite their age difference and coming from two very different backgrounds, they became lovers for five years. Behind the Candelabra is the story of this fascinating love affair, from their first meeting in a Las Vegas theater to their final bitter separation.
