Kiss me, baby Baciami piccina
Plot
On the eve of September 8, 1943, Police Sergeant Umberto Petroni is commissioned to escort a con man, Raoul Nuvolini, to Venice. The trip seems nothing more than a formality, so the two decide to bring along Umberto’s girlfriend, Louise, who has been dreaming of a romantic trip to the lagoon city. No one could have known that the next day life in Italy would be disrupted by the announcement of the armistice. The trip becomes an anecdotal adventure that triggers the lively wit of the extraordinary Neri Marcorè and Vincenzo Salemme.
Review
The screenplay, written by Furio Scarpelli and his son Giacomo, brings to light, through the irony and bitterness typical of the Italian-style comedy, the dark and painful area of the history that preceded the birth of the democratic Republic of Italy.
