Plot
Francesca and Ugo are 35 years old and have been married for ten years. They live in Rome and have two children. Ugo is an architect and hopes to become a partner in the prominent office where he works. Francesca is co-owner of a quaint nursery in the heart of Trastevere and renovates small gardens, terraces and roof gardens. Her partner Gioia, vivacious and of the same age, has been divorced for a couple years and is very generous in dispensing bizarre and contradictory advice on love. The story begins with Francesca and Ugo’s separation.
Review
A couple who deserves applause. The pattern is nothing new: they love, they separate, they get back together. However, the original story by Maurizio Costanzo, and the screenplay written by Andrea Manni in collaboration with him, transforms the “same old story” into something vivid and highly enjoyable, turning the plot into an amusing account of our two protagonists’ lives.
