Plot
This secret trip is the “reconstruction” of a mysterious criminal incident in the past, and in parallel the reconstruction of a lifetime. Leo Ferri, together with his younger sister Ale, returns to Sicily, the land he abandoned twenty-five years before. For Leo, the journey becomes an opportunity to uncover the truth of a tragic family event that has shaped their lives. A mysterious and murky tangle of passions, memories and feelings.
Review
Andò shows us through his camera a view of the Sicilian seafront rarely before seen (except, perhaps, in the television series, Montalbano) and offers intimate cinematic glimpses. Alessio Boni is finally able to match his performance in ‘The Best of Youth’ with an internalized acting ability full of wrenching emotions outstandingly communicated.
