Things from another world Cose dell'altro mondo
Plot
Imagine a nice, civil and hard-working northeastern city. Imagine that this city has a high percentage of immigrant workers, all legal and well-integrated. And imagine that every day they are being talked about by one of their local employers, who stages a racist show day-in and day-out: hyperbole, word play, sarcastic jokes, all, absolutely all, so politically incorrect as to be hilarious. Imagine now that one day this racist ranting becomes reality, that the immigrants, encouraged to leave, go away. Forever.
Review
Can you laugh at immigration? With ‘Things From Another World’, Francesco Patierno tries and succeeds, bringing to life the grumbles and desires of many citizens and politicians anxious to return Italy to Italians. (…) It is a fairy tale, we laugh. But are afraid!
